What an exciting time!!! Tara Jeanne recently received TWO, YES TWO, nominations for the Helen Hayes Awards in the category of Outstanding Choreography in a Musical. The nominations are for her work on Elf, The Musical as well as On The Town, both at the Olney Theatre Center. This is her 3rd and 4th nominations respectively, having previously been nominated for her choreography on The Producers and The King and I. The prestigious awards ceremony honoring DC Theatre’s best will be held in May. New York, NY!!!! Two Valentines to the city.
2018 has been chock full of work as I've had the pleasure of choreographing Guys And Dolls, the inaugural show for the newly opened Argyle Theatre in Babylon (Long Island) NY. The show ran May 10-June 17. Then, on to choreograph On the Town at my artistic home, Olney Theatre Center with Artistic Director Jason Loewith directing. The show runs until July 20. Sizzling Summer of 2017
The crazy busy summer of 2017 has begun. Rehearsals for Joseph... with New Arts in Newtown, CT began on June 29th and we're looking forward to successful performances in Early August.
Today...it's July 2, and I'm at Foxwoods Casino choreographing the opening number for the title contestant at Headliners National Championships. It has been an incredible start to the day. I"m so excited and honored to be working with all of these talented kids. They are making it a sizzling start to the summer for sure.
